Indicative ex-works equipment figures — when they appear on the flagship — carry qualification language. Inspections and asset diligence follow flagship policy. Mission-critical buyers should expect NDA-gated detail after project qualification, not a blog that pretends CapEx is settled.
USP&E as Your Guide for Mission-Critical Power
Natural gas engine power stations for critical power fail commercially when air permits, noise ordinances, and interconnection studies are treated as paperwork after deposits. Inspections follow flagship policy language on equipment pathways. FCPA/OFAC compliance frames every destination — no supply to sanctioned countries.
Map Every Bus Section and Tie
Draw your full topology: which sources feed each bus section, which ties are normally open or closed, and which UPS systems hang off each section. Then list every credible failure your site could face, from a turbine trip and a diesel fail-to-start to a breaker failure and a bus fault, and write what the system must do in each case.
Gas turbines bring larger fault contributions and different response times from diesels. Check that your switchgear ratings still hold with ties closed, and that protection discriminates correctly whichever sources are running. A fault study for each operating configuration avoids surprises.
Write Tie Logic and Prove It
Define when each of your ties may close, which interlocks must be satisfied and how sources synchronise before closing. Decide whether ties close automatically after a source loss or only on operator command, and how the system sheds load if remaining sources cannot carry everything. Keep UPS autonomy in mind: every transfer must complete well within battery time.
Mission-critical sites often grant OEM or integrator remote support during commissioning, then forget to revoke or time-box those paths. Extreme Ownership contracts should state who may open a support session, how long it remains open, what changes require dual approval, and how configs are re-baselined afterward. USP&E writes those expectations into EPC handover and O&M scope so generator Reliability is not hostage to an unmanaged modem left “for convenience.”
Bridge Units and Compute Growth in the Same Model
Plan fuel conditioning with growth in mind. Filters, heaters and metering sized only for the first hall become a bottleneck later, so your design basis should show how each new compute block will be fed clean, stable gas.
Natural gas engines may cover firming or essential buses while larger gas turbines for compute take campus blocks. The SLA matrix should state which asset class protects which load tier, including UPS-generator coordination and vendor-agnostic spare strategies for critical parts.

Your path from first call to reliable power
Start with the loads that matter most: what your UPS systems carry, how long they last and which generation sources can recharge and back them. Your redundancy design should guarantee that no single failure, whether a turbine, an engine, a breaker, a fuel valve or a controller, leaves those loads without a path to power.
Common questions
Why rewrite bus-tie logic when a gas turbine joins a mission-critical site?
USP&E rewrites tie logic because turbines change fault levels, response times and source order. Logic written for diesels may close a tie at the wrong time or leave a section without a source, which drains UPS batteries and drops critical loads after a single failure.
Should bus ties close automatically after a source loss?
USP&E decides automatic or manual tie closure from your failure scenarios, UPS autonomy and operator response times. Automatic closure is common where batteries are short, but it needs synchronising checks and interlocks, and every option is proven during commissioning before the site goes live.
What should O&M cover after tie-breaker redesign?
USP&E includes breaker maintenance, protection testing, periodic failure-scenario drills, UPS battery checks and change control in O&M. Each item has a named role, so the redundancy you proved at commissioning is still there years later, after every equipment change and every new source added to your site.
Why owners choose USP&E
USP&E is a full-service engineering, EPC and O&M company, not a broker. One team designs, builds and runs your plant, so nothing falls between contracts.
